Tasting Method: All wines are tasted blind. If, after discussion, the
tasters do not agree on a star rating, the wine will receive the rating
given by the majority but dissenting comments will be included in the
wine notes. The scores of winemaker judges are eliminated when they
judge their own wines.
|
|
Availability: Criteria for entry to Cuisine wine tastings is that all wines
must be readily available for purchase at the time of publication.
However, high demand and a six-week lead time between tastings and
publication can affect availability. If you have difficulty obtaining any of
these wines, contact the winery or distributor direct.
|
|
Prices: Suppliers are asked to provide a retail price range for all
wines entered in tastings. Prices do vary between vineyard and low-tohigh
volume outlets and cannot, therefore, be guaranteed. All prices
quoted in New Zealand dollars.
|
‘Recommended by Cuisine’ Stickers:
Any wine that wins a four-star
award or above is permitted to
display a ‘Recommended by
Cuisine’ sticker on the bottle.
Look for these top wines as
your guarantee of quality.
|
|
Best Buy: Wines qualify for BEST BUY if they are readily available and
offer an outstanding combination of quality and price.
